Becoming a PAS Volunteer

In order to become a volunteer at Pueblo Animal Services, you must first fill out a volunteer application and submit it to the Volunteer Coordinator. After receiving your application, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to find out what areas you are interested in volunteering in and schedule you for a volunteer orientation.

At the volunteer orientation, you'll receive a brief historical look at Pueblo Animal Services; an overview of our services, structure, mission, funding and philosophies; and a look at current volunteer opportunities. The orientation will last approximately three hours.

The second step in becoming a volunteer is to complete a two to four hour job-specific training course for the volunteer position(s) that interest you.

Please note that you must complete a Volunteer Application prior to reserving your seat at the next available Volunteer Orientation to get started. If you have any questions, please contact Kimberly M. Boudreau, Volunteer Coordinator, by emailing kboudreau@hsppr.org or calling 719.404.5415.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Pueblo Animal Services!

“To volunteer is to choose to act in recognition of a need, with an attitude of social responsibility and without concern for monetary profit, going beyond one’s basic obligation.”
