ASPCA - Rachael Ray $100k Challenge

ASPCA Rachael Ray Challenge

HSPPR has been named one of only 50 shelters in the country to compete in the fifth and final life-saving 2014 ASPCA Rachael Ray Challenge. We’ll be competing by getting the community involved in helping us save more lives this June - August than we saved last year. And while that may be an important win in and of itself, the stakes are even higher. Working to save more lives can help us earn anywhere from $5,000 to $100,000 in grant money from the ASPCA so we can continue our important mission – a compassionate society where animals are cared for and valued.

Why is HSPPR Participating?
In addition to saving more lives than ever, we hope our campaign attracts more volunteers and supporters as well as ensures everyone in our community knows HSPPR is the best place to find a furry family member. We also have the opportunity to win grant money that will allow us to provide even more valuable services for the animals in our community.

What is our goal?
Our goal is to save 1,200 more animals this June - August than the same time last year. That equates to approximately:

  • 3,954 total animals saved
  • 1,318 animals saved/month
  • 43 animals saved/day

When does the challenge take place?
June 1 – August 31, 2014
