Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region has received word that a few cats adopted from our facility have tested positive for feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), a contagious disease only found in cats. Although we believe the risk is low, we encourage all families who have adopted cats from HSPPR in the past month to take their new pet to a veterinarian using the voucher for a free exam that comes with their cat’s adoption.
