We invite your group to visit the shelter to see the different animals that depend on us for their care. Tours involve an introductory presentation describing the scope of the Humane Society’s work and our impact on the community. Groups will then tour the facility and visit with a couple of critters.
Are you working on a badge or patch? Are you ready to complete your Bronze, Silver, or Gold Girl Scout project or your Boy Scout Eagle project? Please contact us to discuss your ideas and how they might meet our needs at the shelter.
Group Service Projects
HSPPR needs volunteers of all ages to help animals in our community. Donating your time, talents, and energy is a great way to support the programs and services we offer for animals and people in our area. Youth groups often want to help the animals, but usually plan to be involved in a short-term project. There are many ways to help homeless animals other than working directly with them at the shelter. Please contact us to discuss your ideas and how they might meet our needs at the shelter.
Donations are appreciated, and sometimes required, in order to help with the costs of providing these valuable learning opportunities. To make reservations or to learn more about educational offerings, please contact Education Manager, Lynda Grove or (719) 302-8739.
