Don’t let this picture fool you! It is hard to get a picture that reflects Sweet Pea accurately. This little girl has earned her name because she is VERY sweet and TINY- like a lil’ pea! She is a medium/long-haired brown tabby but has minimal shedding. She is VERY friendly and will follow you around and rub up against your legs to greet you. Because of this, it is best to check where she is before you take your first step! Sweet Pea also loves to drink running water from the bathroom faucet while you get ready for work…no training was needed on our part for that neat trick! Sweet Pea was the best Mama and took care of her 5 kittens and is now looking to be taken care of herself in her new home. She is very comfortable and affectionate with her humans and was very comfortable around the two resident male cats and dogs. She can be an alpha female so a house with other animals that do not pursue her and give her space would be ideal.
I am not currently at the shelter because I’m helping my babies grow big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early-mid July.*
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
