Get to know me

Teddy enjoys playing tug of war, chewing on bones, and naps on comfy blankets/beds. He is crate and potty trained. He has successfully lived with a dog, but is particular about the dogs he socializes with. While he has lived with young children, he prefers his space respected so may do best in a mature home. He has not lived with cats. Teddy has been in shelter for two months!!

I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Meg, at megtoricomo@gmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond. **I will require a behavior consult prior to adoption.**

Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.

A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.

For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.

After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) or call 719-473-1741 to set up a behavior consult prior to finalizing the adoption.

Scam Alert

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region has experienced a scam in which people missing their pets receive phone calls from someone pretending to represent our shelter and requesting payment over the phone. Please be aware that HSPPR will never request payment over the phone or through Venmo before returning your pet. We will also never ask you to send verification codes or mention anything about pet trackers on Instagram, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms. If you receive a suspicious call, do not share any personal information. Instead, visit our Admissions office and speak with a staff member in person to verify any claims.

Woof, we’re having technical difficulties!

Unfortunately we can’t display our adoptable pets right now due to a technical issue. Don’t worry – all our furry friends are safe and waiting to meet you at the shelter! Please visit us in person to find your perfect match.
