May 12, 2026 Colorado Springs, CO— Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) hosted the 29th annual Fur Ball gala, “Woofstock: Peace, Love, and Paws” at DoubleTree by Hilton on Saturday, May 9th. The event was the Humane Society’s most successful yet, raising $858,000 and counting to help animals in need in the Pikes Peak Region.
Fur Ball is HSPPR’s largest fundraising event of the year with a record number of over 450 supporters in attendance in 2026. Funds raised at the event help support programs and services for animals entering the shelter needing new homes, as well as subsidizing costs for publicly owned pets to receive low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, wellness exams, and vaccinations.
“Fur Ball is such a special night because it brings together a community of people who care deeply about animals and the families who love them,” says Kelley Likes, HSPPR President & CEO. “The incredible support we received at this year’s event will help provide lifesaving care, shelter, and critical resources for thousands of animals across the Pikes Peak Region. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this our most successful Fur Ball yet!”
Fur Ball was supported by Better Together sponsors: All Pro Capital, Animal ER Care, The Broadmoor, Cane Johnson, Chief Petroleum Co., Fetch Pet Insurance, Phil Long Ford of Motor City, Vickie & Gaylord Smith, and Toyota.
