I’ve got a team I can trust
Veterinary Services
My family brings me to the Wellness Waggin’ or Pueblo Wellness Clinic once a year for my general wellness exam and routine vaccinations. They know a healthy pet is a happy pet!
More than a shelter
IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION
The Colorado Springs veterinary clinic is located at the back of the HSPPR building next to Admissions (north end). Due to our current construction project, to access our veterinary clinic entrance, you must turn on the driveway BEFORE the HSPPR parking lot entrance (west of the HSPPR parking lot entrance). Look for the teal sign and turn left from Abbot Lane. Follow the teal signage to your destination.
Caring for the whole animal
Tens of thousands of animals in our community rely on our amazing veterinary team to provide routine AND life-saving care every year. It’s all in a day’s work for our full-time onsite licensed veterinary staff. In addition to providing general wellness exams and diagnostic testing for the shelter animals in our care, they are able to perform just about every surgery imaginable – from spays/neuters to emergency leg amputations. The team also offers limited veterinary services for owned pets in the communities we serve.
Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region was the first shelter facility in Colorado accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, which means our team has completed a rigorous review of protocols and an in-depth inspection to ensure we are providing top-notch care – just like many local private veterinary clinics!
