Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region’s Wellness Waggin’ is on the road, lending a paw to pet owners in need. The custom-built mobile veterinary clinic was made possible thanks to grant funding and the tremendous support of local donors. It allows HSPPR’s veterinary team to reach pet owners in need where they live. 

Many pet owners are unable to access basic veterinary care due to economic and geographic barriers. We know the human-animal bond benefits individuals, families, and the community, and to preserve this special bond, the Wellness Waggin’ hosts low-cost clinics around Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Affordable access to veterinary services keeps pets happy, healthy, and in their homes and out of the shelter.

The Wellness Waggin’ program exists to prevent and alleviate suffering in pets whose caretakers would otherwise be unable to provide this care. Out of respect for our clients and out of concern of creating barriers when documentation is challenging, we serve our clients on an honor system. If you can otherwise afford to provide care for your pet, please obtain that care from one of the excellent veterinarians in our community.
