On December 31, our Colorado Springs location will close at 5:00 p.m., and our Pueblo location will close at 4:00 p.m. On January 1, adoptions at both locations will be closed. Admissions and Lost and Found will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Animal Law Enforcement will be available for emergencies.
We’re so excited you’re thinking about adding a new furry friend to your family! When you come to visit, we ask that you please leave your current pets at home. A quick meet-and-greet at the shelter isn’t the best way to see how pets will truly get along once they’re sharing a home. Plus, the shelter environment can expose your pet to unnecessary germs. Let’s keep everyone safe, happy, and healthy from the very start!
Make a small donation and make their day! It’s quick and easy to provide a treat to a pet waiting for their new family.
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is able to pursue its mission of a compassionate community where animals and people are cared for and valued thanks to the generosity of donors. Because we are entrusted with the responsibility to be good stewards of the gifts we receive and to follow non-profit best practices, we adhere to a donor privacy policy. The guidelines listed below help HSPPR staff and volunteers understand how they may or may not use donor information.
HSPPR provides this Donor Privacy Policy to make you aware of our privacy policy, and to inform you of the way your information is used. We also provide you with the opportunity to remove your name from our mailing list, if you desire to do so.
HSPPR collects and uses personal information from donors that includes: name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and donor comments when a donor voluntarily provides it to us. In addition, HSPPR keeps a record of each donor’s giving history. This information is kept on file for IRS purposes and is also used in our development process to generate future mailing lists and analyze overall giving patterns in order to make accurate budget projections.
HSPPR will use your information to issue receipts, send thank you cards, internal analysis and record keeping, and inform donors about news, upcoming fundraising events and other activities. Credit card numbers are used only for donation or payment processing and are not retained for other purposes. We use the comments you offer to provide you with information requested, and we take seriously each recommendation as to how we might improve communication.
HSPPR will not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information to other organizations, to include donor’s name, address, telephone number, or email address. When publicly recognizing donors, we will ensure confidentiality—when requested by the donor.
It is our desire to not send unwanted mail to our donors. Please contact us at 719.302.8774 or email us at waystogive@hsppr.org if you wish to be removed from our mailing list.
