English Muffin (Muffin or Muffie) is very shy at first—but a total sweetheart once he feels safe. He’s about 9 years old and recently had dental work, so he prefers wet food. He has perfect litterbox manners, and after several days of settling in, he’ll happily soak up pets and curl up for a nap in your lap. He’ll do best in a calm home where he can start in a small “safe room” and warm up at his own pace. He’s been around younger children and has shown remarkable patience and gentleness—no scratching, biting, or other signs of aggression. Give him a little time to settle in, and you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly sweet, quiet lap companion with low-to-moderate energy.

Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.
A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.
For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.
After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.
