I am not currently at the shelter because I’m helping my kittens grow big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early May*.
Meet Ember! She is the kind of cat who decides you belong to her within seconds. This young brown tabby domestic shorthair leans right in for scritches, offering soft headbutts and gently guiding your hand where she wants attention. She’s incredibly sweet and makes you feel instantly chosen.
She has a beautiful, regal look, with striking white “eyeliner” around her eyes that makes her stand out. She loves to explore and carries her affectionate nature wherever she goes, always ready to pause for pets. Ember is a perfect mix of nurturing, curious, and deeply loving—the kind of cat who quickly becomes part of your heart.She’s just about done raising her kittens and will be ready for a home of her own by early May, where she can soak up all the love. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am ready to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
