RJ is a sweet, people-loving dog who’s looking for a fresh start after deciding ranch life wasn’t for him. He can be fearful in new situations and will benefit from a patient home that helps him build confidence at his own pace. RJ also has a history of killing chickens, so he’ll need a home without poultry or small livestock. With kindness, structure, and reassurance, RJ has the potential to be a loyal and affectionate companion. RJ’s adoption comes with a complimentary session with a member of HSPPR’s behavior team.

On Wednesday, May 13, our Colorado Springs adoptions, lost and found, and admissions will be opening at 1:00 p.m. Our Pueblo location will be closing early at 4:00 p.m. Animal Law Enforcement will be available at both locations for emergencies.
