Hi, my name is Fluffernutter! My foster mom says I’m a super fluffy little firecracker, and I think she’s right! My thick, woolly coat makes me extra fluffy (so I’ll need a little brushing to keep me looking my best), and my playful personality is where the “firecracker” part comes in. I love to run, wrestle, pounce, and play as hard as I can! I’d be thrilled to have a big canine brother or sister to romp around with, but I’m also happy making friends with everyone I meet. Between play sessions, I love to snuggle up, hand out sweet little kisses, and soak up all the affection I can get. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, fluffy companion to brighten your days, I might just be the perfect boy for you!
I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid August.*
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
