I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early September.* Per Jif’s foster: “Jif will need ample time to adjust to his new home. Placing him in his own sanctuary room with food, water, bed, toys, scratching post, and litter box will help him adapt. This room should be quiet with hiding places as well as some perches. Once Jif has acclimated to the room a slow introduction to other animals and the rest of the house can begin. He will require a lot of patience! Jif is a handsome boy with long legs and a thoughtful face. His coat is very short and neat. He’s playful but also quiet and observant, and churu tubes are his favorite treat (so far). Jif enjoys the company of other cats and does like to cuddle at night – after you are asleep!”
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
