Asenath started her time in foster very scared, and she definitely wasn’t shy about letting everyone know it! Her once-deep, unsure growls have now turned into enthusiastic purrs as she has learned that people aren’t so scary after all.
She has made incredible progress and has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate girl who loves cuddling up on the couch with her people. Asenath may need a little time to feel comfortable in a new environment, but once she knows she is safe, her loving and snuggly personality really shines!
I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early October.*
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
