Lyon is an extremely sweet, delicate, and gentle little girl. She knows she is a princess and acts accordingly! She can be a bit shy at first but once you earn her trust she is very affectionate. She has done well with dogs and cats but she can be very vocal when others do not play by her rules. Lyon would do best in a household ready to spoil her rotten and provide ample snuggle time.
I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid November.*
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
