HSPPR Raises Money for Homeless Animals on National Giving Day

December 2, 2024 Colorado Springs, CO– Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is raising funds for the care of neglected, homeless, and injured animals on GivingTuesday, a national day of giving.
Asoka arrived at HSPPR with a serious case of “puppy strangles” – her immune system was attacking her own skin. While her siblings were preparing for adoption, Asoka was preparing for months of treatment to grow into a happy, healthy pup. Asoka is still recovering in a foster home, but this spirited pup doesn’t let her illness slow her down. With donations from our community on GivingTuesday, Asoka is just one example of animals being helped daily at HSPPR.
Fetch Pet Insurance, a generous supporter of HSPPR, will double every donation made on GivingTuesday up to $30,000.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. GivingTuesday is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Asoka will be available for media visits on Tuesday, December 3rd, between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and Cody Costra will be available for interviews.
Donations to support HSPPR’s life-saving work can be made HERE.
