Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region Adds Three Local Leaders to Board of Directors
Jeff Detra, Erin Hannan, and Daniel Minich are now members of HSPPR’s Board of Directors
 
February 9, 2026 Colorado Springs, CO—Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) welcomed Jeff Detra, Erin Hannan, and Daniel Minich to its board of directors in January.
 
HSPPR is governed by a volunteer board of community leaders, and is excited to announce the addition of three wonderful community members to the board.

Jeff Detra is a Senior Vice President at First National Bank Colorado, where he works as a commercial lender at the Flying Horse location. Jeff has nearly 23 years of experience in commercial lending. Originally from a small town in northwestern Illinois, he and his wife, Stacey, moved to Colorado Springs in April 2016 and have called the community home ever since. Since relocating to the Pikes Peak Region, Jeff has served two terms on the Board of Directors for Pikes Peak United Way and CourtCare of the Pikes Peak Region, and previously served on the board of National Mill Dog Rescue. Jeff and Stacey share their home with their dog, Tilly.

Erin Hannan currently serves as Senior Vice President of Communications at El Pomar Foundation, where she oversees strategic communication initiatives and serves as the senior staff member supporting the Foundation’s Southwest Regional Council. Erin brings extensive leadership experience across communications, marketing, fundraising, and organizational administration, having previously served as Executive Director of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College and held leadership roles with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, Vladimir Jones, and Guess?, Inc. She has also been a small business owner, co-establishing and operating a digital prepress agency serving the advertising and print industries. Erin has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including Leadership Pikes Peak and as chair of the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region, and currently serves on the boards of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and Broadmoor World Arena. She is the proud pet parent of two senior dogs, including Walter, who was adopted from HSPPR in 2012.

Daniel Minich is the Director of Alumni Relations and Engagement at the CSU Pueblo Foundation. A Pueblo native and proud Colorado State University Pueblo graduate, Daniel brings professional experience in sponsorship and donor relations with a background spanning government service and nonprofit organizations within higher education. In his current role, he oversees alumni programming, annual giving efforts, crowdfunding initiatives, and donor pipeline development. Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, with an emphasis in strategic digital information marketing. He is actively involved in the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Colorado Chapter, CASE District VI, and the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce Leadership Pueblo steering committee. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, their dogs Louis, Finn, and Bru, and their cat, Ellis.

Please be aware that HSPPR will never request payment over the phone or through Venmo before returning your pet. We will also never ask you to send verification codes or mention anything about pet trackers on Instagram, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms. If you receive a suspicious call, do not share any personal information. Instead, visit our Admissions office and speak with a staff member in person to verify any claims.
