I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by mid-late May*.
Kaiya is a sweet baby angel who loves to jump scare and snuggle after play. She loves to play with dogs and kids. She doesn’t quite understand cats (despite being one) so she respects their space while still being curious. She will happily greet you when she sees you and talk to you. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
On Wednesday, May 13, our Colorado Springs adoptions, lost and found, and admissions will be opening at 1:00 p.m. Our Pueblo location will be closing early at 4:00 p.m. Animal Law Enforcement will be available at both locations for emergencies.
