I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early November.* Meet Barry Zuckercorn, your future personal space invader and professional cuddle buddy!
Barry believes there’s no such thing as being too close to his favorite human. No matter what’s going on, he’ll find a way to be right by your side, preferably as close to your face as physically possible! He’s an expert lounging companion who is always happy to keep you company.
But don’t let his love of relaxation fool you! Barry goes absolutely wild for toys he can chase. His parkour skills are still a work in progress, but what he lacks in coordination, he more than makes up for in enthusiasm!
He’s also quite the conversationalist and isn’t shy about sharing his opinions on just about everything. Whether he’s chatting about his day, requesting attention, or simply making sure you know he’s there, Barry always has something to say.

You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
