Lilypad was adopted for two days and returned after having difficulty settling when her new owner would leave or move away from her. Lilypad will need plenty of time, patience, and consistency to adjust. When relaxed, she is a friendly, playful, and affectionate girl who loves to cuddle and can settle so quietly that you may forget she’s in the room! She is potty trained, will let you know when she needs to go outside, and knows several commands including sit, stay, come, and roll over. Lilypad was not crated in this home, so gradual, positive crate training is recommended to help her develop independence and a comfortable space of her own. She can pull hard on leash and is also a door darter with poor recall, so her new family will need to be especially careful around doors and keep her securely leashed outdoors. Her exposure to the resident cat was limited, although she showed some curiosity without direct interaction, and her history with young children and other dogs is unknown.
