Get to know me

I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Eschelle, at celarent1@hotmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond.

ogi and Sheeba are a highly bonded pair. They are both spayed and neutered and also front declawed. They are both chill cats and do their own thing for the most part. They spend lots of time together. They like to sleep in bed with you. They both enjoy being petted although Yogi on occasion may get a bit overstimulated with too much petting. They don’t like being picked up. They are somewhat skittish of new people/settings and it takes them several weeks to get acclimated to new people and surroundings. It took them about a week just to start exploring their space when they went to their foster house.

They are both fully litter trained and have immaculate litterbox habits. They are indoor only. They have been around dogs in the past, having lived with a small terrier which they seemed to get along, but they haven’t been around dogs more recently and may not enjoy living with a new dog since they are now older and didn’t grow up with it.

They are both very relaxed and like a quiet house. They have been around a 7-year old in foster and seemed to do well with her. They have not been around any other cats. They will occasionally seek attention from the owner, but very much “on their own terms”. After a month in foster care, they do seem confident in the home and hang out in the main living areas and seek to be pet. Just know that it will take them some time to get used to new living arrangements.

Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.

A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.

For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.

After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.

Scam Alert

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region has experienced a scam in which people missing their pets receive phone calls from someone pretending to represent our shelter and requesting payment over the phone. Please be aware that HSPPR will never request payment over the phone or through Venmo before returning your pet. We will also never ask you to send verification codes or mention anything about pet trackers on Instagram, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms. If you receive a suspicious call, do not share any personal information. Instead, visit our Admissions office and speak with a staff member in person to verify any claims.

Woof, we’re having technical difficulties!

Unfortunately we can’t display our adoptable pets right now due to a technical issue. Don’t worry – all our furry friends are safe and waiting to meet you at the shelter! Please visit us in person to find your perfect match.
