Chonk, AKA Chonky Boy, Chonkers, Chonkies. This beautiful spotted tabby boy earned his name as he was (once) the biggest of his 4 siblings but lost the title even though he still eats more than his littermates! He also loves to climb your legs while you are sitting down and will either fall asleep in your lap if he is tired or want you to play with him. Chonky Boy is a climber and jumper and he will even take over your chair if it is unoccupied! He has been around kids and well behaved cats and dogs and is fine with all once he is comfortable in his surroundings.
I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by early-mid July.*
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
