Lily is a very chatty and affectionate girl, once she gets to know you. It took a little awhile for her to warm up to humans despite being with us since she was 3 days old, so please be prepared to go slow at first. She loves climbing up on a humans chest, right up to their face, and meowing and rubbing against them. She’s great with kids, dogs, and has recently started playing with other foster kittens. She does get startled very easy but she bounces back pretty quickly. She’s the kind of cat that comes running to greet you when she sees you enter a room. She would do well in a home where she doesn’t have to be left alone for long periods of time as she loves to be around others. I am not currently at the shelter because I’m growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by Late July*.
You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal.
Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
