Get to know me

I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Kristen, at csfostermom@gmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond.

Danny is a nice little gentleman who will need some time and patience to feel safe with his new family. He does well with other dogs and would like a family with another friendly dog to show him the ropes. He is also good with cats. Kids make him nervous so a mature household with just adults is needed. He is house trained and does well when home alone. He will find a soft spot to relax and wait for your return. He is learning how to walk on a leash and enjoys short walks with lots of sniffing. He has had some dental work and does not have a lot of teeth left, so soft food will be best.

Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.

A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.

For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.

After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.

Scam Alert

The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region has experienced a scam in which people missing their pets receive phone calls from someone pretending to represent our shelter and requesting payment over the phone. Please be aware that HSPPR will never request payment over the phone or through Venmo before returning your pet. We will also never ask you to send verification codes or mention anything about pet trackers on Instagram, WhatsApp, or other messaging platforms. If you receive a suspicious call, do not share any personal information. Instead, visit our Admissions office and speak with a staff member in person to verify any claims.

Woof, we’re having technical difficulties!

Unfortunately we can’t display our adoptable pets right now due to a technical issue. Don’t worry – all our furry friends are safe and waiting to meet you at the shelter! Please visit us in person to find your perfect match.
